GAYNDAH SUNDAY MARKETS

When: First Sunday of every month.
Where: Jaycees Park (Next to Museum).
What: The Sunday markets at Gayndah has a variety of stalls selling
various items. You can find plants, hand sewn linen, books and more.
There is a barbeque if you get hungry while browsing the stalls.

ANNUAL SHOW

When: 9th April 2011
What: First show was held in 1865, in 1907 became part of the
Agricultural Society. The 100th Anniversary of the Society was 2007. The Annual Show is held on the second Saturday in March every year.

CAMP DRAFT

When: 5th and 6th June.
Where: Gayndah Showgrounds.
What: Catering all weekend the canteen offers a large variety of foods,
then on Saturday night a sit down meal is provided featuring Pig on Spit
at a reasonable cost. Licensed Bar. Live Music.

GAYNDAH TRIATHLON

For the past several years Gayndah has hosted a triathlon to promote healthy lifestyles in our rural district. The event (with local council, government and community support) encourages people who would not normally undertake a triathlon (or exercise generally) to give it a go. The triathlon is an event that many make the annual trip to Gayndah to experience, with our local hospitality and great sense of community a big incentive.

We are planning for our next triathlon in October 2011 so we hope
to see you there.

RODEO

When: 11th June 2011 10am – Admission at gate
What: Licensed bar available. Food stalls available all day.
Night entertainment – Cabaret starts 6.30 p.m. Admission at door.
Come along and watch the Saddle Bronc, Bare Back Bronc, Junior &
Senior Barrel Racing, Open & Junior Bull Rides and much much more.
